We review the accomplishments of the Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope Science Working Group. Their science case for GSMT requires a preparatory imaging survey of 5 x 5 degrees for 10,000 Lyman Break Galaxies in a Sloan survey volume containing a million galaxies beyond redshift two. The GSMT SWG is exploring synergies between GSMT, ALMA, and JWST. We also review the issues involved in developing an operations plan for the Thirty Meter Telescope, including an end to end approach from proposal, though observation and data management, to analysis and discovery.
