Post-Doctoral Research Position in Space Physics
A research position is available for a Space Physicist to work on the analysis and interpretation of auroral images at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa. This project is part of a collaborative programme with the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, in which electric field data from the Institute's Astrid 2 satellite will be used with auroral images recorded in Antarctica to interpret and make models of auroral forms.
Experience of signal and image processing would be an advantage. The successful candidate may be expected to spend some time in Sweden and Antarctica.
