SUBJECT=Thanks! BODY=Dear Willie, I just bought a new computer with Windows XP on it. I searched all over for software updates for my old programs. I did pretty good until I got to my Snappy 3.0 Video program, dead links one after another. After days of searching, I found a link to your site! You are a life saver! I installed 4.0 with an update patch and it works GREAT on XP! THANKS for saving my Snappy! Tell everyone it works for Pete on Windows XP. Sincerely, Pete. [I then asked him for more exact details and this was his reply.] Hi Willie! I hope this answers your question, and a few others as well. I originally purchased Snappy 2.0 from Play Inc. Later, I purchased their upgrade to 3.0 Deluxe. I downloaded and installed the *Snappy4NTSC.zip* file from your website and then applied the *SNAP41N.EXE* patch. Once Snappy is installed, each of the patches check your software version for you. They won't allow you to install the wrong one patch. i.e... If you try to use the SNAP3DLX patch on Snappy4NTSC you will get a message that says: "This patch is only for Snappy 3.0 Deluxe - Click Ok to exit." All of this works with my original 2.0 hardware. And you don't have to tell XP to use older version settings. (An option in XP to help some older programs run.) If you try to run Snappy and keep getting the error message: "Can't find Snappy Hardware" and you're sure your connections are good, CHANGE YOUR BATTERY! Naturally, if your readers are in a region where the PAL format is used, they will have to use *Snappy30PAL CD.zip* or try to find *Snappy4PAL.zip*. (Good Luck!) I hope this helps. Pete
