Solar Eclipse - 30 June 1992
On 30 June 1992, the most southern parts of South Africa were treated with an 80% eclipse of the Sun. Wellington was clouded out that day, but a short drive to the other side of the du Toitskloof mountains at my parents house in Worcester, brought us to complete clear skies. With my telescope's finder projecting a nice large image of the Sun, the progress of the Moon across the Sun's face could be very well followed. Here Jaco-Chris was posing underneath this image when the eclipse was about at maximum.
