First Quarter Moon
The Moon is still the best target for any experimentation. Even so, it took a little practice to find a target because of the small size of the CCD and the speed at which the heavens speed past the undriven telescope when working near the celestial equator. With the SBIG ST5 on a tiny 4½" telescope, I still got some saturation, even going down to the shortest exposure (0.01sec.) the camera is capable of.
