A visible radar beam?

Compared to the previous picture, this one was taken when it was well dark already. In order to get the radar installation to become visible, a 10sec. exposure was required. The "visible radar beam" is therefore the trail left by a star setting behind the moonlit dome.

The distance to the radar installation is 22km., taken with a ST5 camera mounted on a 4½" telescope.
